Wireless Networking Microsoft Certified Professional

A wireless network from Ingenuity IT, configured as either a complete small office networking solution or as a complement to your existing network can provide a level of flexibility, portability and convenience previously unheard of in homes and small businesses. By using radio waves to connect your portable business machines, such as laptops, to the network, you can work anywhere within reach of the signal (between 20m - 120m) without the need for cabling.

As business becomes more mobile, re-location is fast becoming a regular occurence. This need for mobility can result in leaving behind network cabling that was expensive to install, in addition to the expense of re-cabling your new offices. With a complete wireless solution you can simply pick up your network and take it with you.

If you choose a Broadband capable wireless router you are able to provide fast Internet access for all network users resulting in decreased download times, faster E-Mail exchange and browsing, therefore increasing efficiency and potentially reducing costs.

At Ingenuity IT we use only WI-FI certified equipment such as the Buffalo WLI-CB-G54A Wireless Access PCMCIA card for your laptop and the WBR-G54 Airstation Broadband Router for the network. With this equipment installed you will be able to gain access to the Internet not only via your own network but also via the ever increasing number of public access points throughout the world. With this equipment you can also benefit from having an integral Firewall to protect against unauthorised access to your network through the Internet. 128 Bit WEP(Wired Equivalent Privacy) along with MAC Address Registration can be used to prevent access to your network by unauthorised Wireless users and an integral DHCP(Dynamic Host Control Protocol) server automatically manages allocation of network information necessary to gain access onto the Internet.

If you want to know more about this increasingly popular technology and how it can give you an advantage, please don't hesitate to contact us.
